Avignon

Avignon, capital of christianity in the Middle Ages, has retainted its extraordinary historial print: Palais des Papes, Saint Bénezet bridge, known as « pont d’Avignon », the ramparts, a range of outstanding listed UNESCO World Heritage monuments, dozens of churches and chapels and many ruins that are steeped in history creating a unique atmosphere in the town.
